X-Games and Olympic athlete Lucas Foster knows what it takes to reach your full potential, and he wants to share it. Less than a year out of his snowboard halfpipe Olympic debut in Beijing, Lucas has designed a one-week Int/Advanced Skatecamp and is stoked to coach skaters toward their full potential. With the exciting addition of the new skatepark and fresh off the competitive circuit, Lucas has developed the curriculum and is more stoked than ever to pass on his passion, knowledge, and ability to motivated young skateboarders.
Meeting at The Drop each afternoon before rolling down to the park, skaters will discuss park etiquette and safety, personal goals and the correct steps needed to achieve them. Skateboard lessons will be specifically tailored to each individual student, short/long term goal development, street and bowl skills, new lines and tricks, achievement benchmarks and future aims for post skatecamp takeaways. Sessions will also include skate specific and basic body warm-ups to ensure everyone’s body is primed for the session to avoid injuries, and encourage healthy longevity. Skateboard culture, skatepark etiquette, community participation and leadership will also be touched upon throughout the week-long session.
This is an intermediate/advanced camp built for the skater that is enthusiastic about skateboard culture and has the drive to personally progress. It is an opportunity for like-minded skaters to take their previous skatecamp experience to the next level, in a more intimate and focused atmosphere. Skaters will leave the session as better skaters, with the confidence and skills to join any skate session at any skatepark, make new and lasting friendships through mutual respect and camaraderie, and be contributing members of the greater skateboard culture.
